2nd Iraq Micro-Finance Workshop; Erbil, 9-10 June, 2007

The 2nd Iraq Micro-Finance Workshop was held in Erbil on June 9th-10th, 2007 at Hotel Khanzad. The event was organized by Izdihar in partnership with ACDI-VOCA, CHF International, Relief International, IAAC and BIO. 

This workshop was a follow up to the first such event held in Amman in February 2006. It is the second in a series of workshops that are to be held on a quarterly basis to review the development and challenges facing the Iraqi Micro-finance industry.

There were wide ranging discussions and presentations describing developments and achievements of the Iraqi MFIs to date. The participants also looked into the various challenges being faced and the means to combat them.
