Accelerating Growth Forecast for Iraqi Economy

More good news about Iraq’s economy came from the International Monetary Fund’s World Economic Outlook issued this month in Washington DC. The IMF forecast that Iraq’s real Gross Domestic Product (sum of all goods and services produced in the country) will rise 9.9% in 2011, 11.1% in 2012 and 13.5% in 2013. This compares to 4.0% in 2011, 4.8% in 2012 and 3.7% for all oil exporting countries of the Middle East.
